Thursday 22nd June - bike *** Short two rivers, Orwell to the Deben - sunny periods.

After yesterdays early start to see the Summer Solstice sunrise it was nice to have a lay-in but no too late as the lovely Maeva arrived just after eight. Then later in the morning with Maeva asleep I took the opportunity to head out on my bike for the second time this month:) Heading down through Langer park to the dock view point where the caf? has been painted a very bright green and the large Rotterdam dredger was working close to the shore again, always nice to get a few pics. I go out onto the little wooden pier with very little wind the River Orwell and the sea was calm, there were several people enjoying another nice day on the coast, more cloud but pleasant enough. I bike along the sea wall to the wooden walkway and back across Landguard Nature Reserve and onto the prom where I cycled the whole length, around to The Dip end to the Ferry to get a few more pics of the boatyard before taking the short route home along the road across the golf course for more cuddling with Maeva with our son Dan coming for a quick lunch.
After a nice spell of getting weather pics on the TV this week, had our local Spotlight on Felixstowe Mag and was chuffed to be on the cover again for the 6th time this year:) Also my good luck on the local TV weather continues when I was surprised to get a pic on for the 4th day running, well chuffed!
